Each teaching environment offers unique challenges and experiences and the best one for you will be dependent on a number of factors, including your own personality and expectations. As former English teachers in China ourselves, we understand the importance of pairing the right candidate with the right school, this is why, during the interview process, we make a point of getting to understand your motivations and expectations for pursuing an English teaching experience in China. This will allow us to select the best option for you.
Our overall goal is to ensure you have the most fulfilling teaching experience possible and placing you in the ideal school that meets all of your requirements is at the heart of this.
Located in the south central part of the Chinese mainland with a population of over 65 million, Hunan has a reputation as an area of natural beauty, surrounded by mountains on the east, west, and south, and by the Yangtze River on the north. Its mixture of mountains and lakes makes it among one of the most beautiful provinces in China. For thousands of years, the region has been a major centre of agriculture, growing things such as rice, tea, and oranges and it is well known for its delicious spicy food.
As well as all the natural beauty, Hunan is home to several large cities. Its capital, Changsha, is a booming up-and-coming city with a population of almost 8 million.
Our close contacts in the Hunan education sector (our UK Manager Chris spent 6 years living there, and our partner schools coordinator, Lany, is based there year-round), mean that whether you are after the modern metropolitan lifestyle of Changsha, or prefer a more tranquil existence amongst the more scenic areas, our vast experience of this diverse province means that we’ll be able to find the right school and location for you.
